The Irish have always loved their beer. So much so that when the Sullivan's Brewery went up in flames in 1880, the community of Kilkenny came together with buckets and pales to extinguish the fire. The Sullivan family was looking to relaunch their historical brand and came to Trinity Brand Group to do the job. The concept below for their flagship offering—the Irish Red Ale—uses the colors of the Irish flag on the six pack and a flame to tell the story of the legendary fire. The bucket icon is used in the logo to pay homage to the community that came together and saved the brewery. I created custom lettering for the Sullivan's name with a stout, modern shape and serifs that are inspired by celtic characters. Completed while at Trinity Brand Group.
